Halloween Howlers

Here's my poem for all you little pretties.....

On a dark and frosty autumn night, in a distant windy field,
The Howlers start their evensong to the clang of a church bell's peel.
They cry and moan with wailing howls to warn the village folk,
Of spirits, ghosts and magic spells beneath the twisted oaks.
The edge of the wood holds the light of a Halloween hunter's moon,
Howlers know there soon will be snow and the sound of a witch's rune.
